Personality:

Out of everyone in Persona 3, Fuuka's problems might be mundane but that doesn't mean that she didn't grow or develop into a person whom she could be proud of. Fuuka was just like Alice. She was a normal young woman who happened to stumble into a strange new world and perhaps the life she was meant for.

The first thing that the audience noticed about Fuuka was how much of a doormat she was. The thing that stood out about her early on was how she was being constantly bullied. While we may not know the extent, Fuuka never took any real action against those who had harmed her and just simply took it as it was. Later on, we also found out that her parents wanted her to become a doctor despite her wishes. After all, it was what they wanted and she just had to become one for their own sake. She was trying to meet her parents and people's expectations.

However, that wasn't all that there was to her. There are many things that make her stand out from the rest of the cast. Through the canon, it has been proven Fuuka is one of the most calmest members of the group to the point where it rivals the male MC. This was the same person who managed to walk ten hours into the Tartarus without getting caught and not panic. This was also the same person who managed to use her evoker with no problem compared to everyone else. Lastly, she also had no issue with experiencing shadows on a daily basis. In fact, the only two times she broke away from that calm nature was when Ken was lost and when Junpei was complimenting her.

It was also because of her calm nature that she often thought about her choices before she acted. An example would be early on when she decided to join SEES. While she wanted to move out of the house badly, it was clear that she had thought about her decision despite how obvious the answer was. It was because of her calm nature, she played support. If her comrades were in trouble, she would sometimes try to suggest what would best action for them in battle instead of quickly panicking. However, the most obvious example would be in The Answer arc. During that arc, when the group was deciding if they should go back to bring the male MC back or to move on without him, Fuuka was the only one who did not make anything definite. Instead, she said that she refused to fight any of her friends and wanted to stay neutral. Of course, after listening to everyone's stories, she finally went with Aigis simply because “It was the one I agree with the most.” It turns out, it was the right choice after all.

Another thing that makes Fuuka stand out is how surprisingly stubborn she could be. Once she has a goal in mind, she won't stop until she got it. When she told the male MC that she would focus her attention to technology, Fuuka was determined to ignore her parents wishes. If she wanted to go into the field of technology, when why couldn't she? Some more examples would be when Mitsuru asked her to look into some information about her company and when Fuuka restored a CD for Yukari. It is a bit difficult to hack and dig through information but she knew that she could do it if she tried.

Another that makes Fuuka stand out is how quickly she is to forgive people. The most blatant example was how she befriended her former bully, Natsuki. Even when other people questioned her intentions, Fuuka didn't really seem to care. As long as she was able to spend time with her, then that was all that mattered. The reason why this was brought up was because of her friendship with Natsuki that made her into someone more confident. While the news of her best friend moving far away did make Fuuka sad, she also realized that it doesn't mean it was the end. All it meant was how precious her friend was to her and how she wished she stayed connected. It was then that she hoped that she could stay friends with everyone whom she met and how it would never end. The resolve transformed her Persona from Lucia to Juno.

Lastly, another thing that makes Fuuka stand out is her character development as a whole. From the beginning, she mentioned that she said she was find living in the dorms because it meant she could stay away from her parents. It meant that she could finally live the life she wanted and not live how they planned for her. Besides, she was gifted with a Persona that no other could use . For the first time in her life, she was needed. She might not have had a big impact in the canon but her time with her friends had shown her that she didn't need to live the life others wanted. She made a brief mention to Mitsuru about how she didn't seem to mind that she doing something questionable, if it meant that she could do something for them, it should be fine. She had slowly started to become more confident in herself instead of having people judging her.

Abilities:
In Persona 3, there are people who have the 'Potential'. It means that they possess the potential to summon a Persona, beings that are like guardian figures to fight against beings called shadows. In this group called SEES, there are many people who are able to summon Personas but Fuukas' a special one.

Juno, her Persona, doesn't fight in combat, it provides support. Due to this, Fuuka can tell what the strength and weaknesses of an enemy. Fuuka can also sense life so she can tell where someone is depending on their location. Most of her abilities range from simply telling what the enemy is strong against to healing with each passing floor.

Another one of her abilities with Juno is that she can use Oracle. It is random ability that has many features. It can either heal all your party's HP, heals all SP, fully heals both of them, cures any status ailments, or...it can reduce all HP and SP to 1.

[As the video turned on, there appeared to be a girl with teal hair staring back at the communicator. At first, she seemed to be nervous before giving a small smile]

Um...I apologize if this has been said before but I’m afraid I’m new here. I was wondering if it’s okay for me to ask for some help?

[She gave a sigh]

If it makes it easier for everyone, my name is Fuuka Yamagishi and it’s really nice to meet you all! If there is anything I can do, let me know! I'm not sure what I can do here just yet but I am good with technology and making things! Just let me know if you need any help with that!

[She mumbled some more. Although, as she looked down at her Evoker, she gave another sigh.]

….And if you know anyone from Iwatodai, please let me know too.

Prose Log Sample:

In many ways, people underestimate Fuuka and what she could be capable of. Of course, in response, the young girl simply wanted to prove those people wrong. Throughout her entire life, she had tried to constantly meet people's expectations rather than just focusing on what she really wanted. However, most of her problems could be traced to her family as a whole.

Can't they be happy for what she could do? She can't cook but at least she was able to meet their goals of being a good daughter. Wasn't that enough? She quickly stood her head, she couldn't think such thoughts. After all, wasn't that what her friends have taught her? If you can't be good at something, doesn't that mean you should just try your hardest anyway?

There was a pause coming from her. As she opened the door to the cooking club, she gave out a small smile. That's right, she was spending time with Minato and his friends at the dorms. While she did enjoy her stay at SEES, Fuuka had trouble expressing how she felt at times. It just wouldn't be right for her to just burden people with her problems anyway. Besides, compared to most of her teammates, her problems weren't as bad as they were. At the same time, she also knew that holding on to those feelings weren't always a good thing.

“Fuuka-chan? Are you ready?” Minato gave her a small smile.

“Um...I'm not so sure...I'm still learning but I keep burning them...” Of course, Fuuka was usually an open book about her feelings half of the time. If she didn't speak up, sooner or later, Minato would have found out. That's just how it goes.

“I don’t think so. Your baking is getting a lot better anyway so there's nothing to worry about.”

Fuuka wasn't so sure. “...Well....”

“Here, I can help you. You can start baking right now.”

“Ah...what?” Before she knew it, the teal haired girl was pushed right inside to the room. Ah, what could she do? Even though she hadn't known Minato for more than a year, it felt like they might as well be best friends. Looks like Fuuka knew that her friend could always cheer her up no matter what.
